Lafikul Islam's killing condemned, Sonowal government slammed

From a Correspondent

MARGHERITA, Aug 3: Assam Bihari Nagarik Bikash Manch president Dr Om Prakash Sahu of Margherita has slammed and criticized the Sonowal government for not being able to maintain law and order. He condemned the killing of dynamic youth leader and All Bodoland Minority Students’ Union (ABMSU) president Lafiqul Islam Ahmed by unidentified assailants in broad daylight on Tuesday.

Dr Om Prakash Sahu said that Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal talked about jati, mati and bheti but since the last one year, many innocent people were killed in Assam. During the last 15 years rule of the Congress in the State many people were brutally killed and now under Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, the same thing had started. Dr Sahu added that both the BJP and the Congress were enemies of regionalism and hence the people of Assam should be cautious of the national parties.

Meanwhile, Federation of Barua Buddhist Welfare Association of Assam secretary general Sibu Talukdar, Assam Bodo Kachari Yuba Chatra Parishad Margherita Committee president Satyajit Bodo, ATLU and many other organizations have condemned the brutal killing of ABMSU president Lafiqul Islam Ahmed and conveyed there deep condolence to the bereaved family members.
