GOLAGHAT (Dhekial), Aug 3: Deputy Commissioner Gaurav Bothra on Thursday reviewed the preparations for the Gunotsav programme which will be held in Golaghat from November 6 to November 9.
Presiding over the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the functioning of the Block-level Monitoring Committees and asked all concerned to ensure smooth conduct of the exercise in the district and asked the district authorities of Sarba Siksha Abhiyan to take steps to conduct training programmes for all stakeholders. A district-level committee under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner and five Block Level Monitoring Committees under the chairpersonship of Circle Officers have been formed for smooth conduct of the programme.
Altogether, 1642 LP, ME and composite and tea garden schools in the district will be evaluated during this programme. A total of 615 external evaluators have been identified for the purpose out of which 547 will visit three schools each on the three days of the programme and the remaining will be kept on standby. Moreover, 360 Liaison Officers have been identified for the programme. The members of the district-level committee, nodal teachers and cluster resource centre coordinators have already been imparted training for the purpose. The training for external evaluators will be conducted in the month of August. Additional Deputy Commissioner Amar Jyoti Barman, all circle officers, officials of SSA, BRCs and CRCCs were present in the review meeting.
